Last week, Audi introduced the R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD, the firm’s final goodbye to its mid-engined supercar. Now, Jaguar has announced the F-Type 75, a special-edition model line-up with which the British marque is saying farewell to the F-Type.
Available in coupé and convertible body styles, the F-Type 75 is equipped with Jaguar’s sonorous supercharged V8, available in different states of tune. The 5.0-litre engine produces 331 kW and 580 Nm of torque in the F-Type 75 and 423 kW and 700 Nm in the F-Type R 75.
Jaguar claims the former models sprint to the three-figure marker from a standstill in “just” 4.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 285 km/h. The R variants complete the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 3.7 seconds. These models have an electronically governed top speed of 300 km/h.
The celebratory models feature unique exterior and interior design elements. Starting with the former, the F-Type 75 models’ “super-slim” LED headlamps feature Pixel technology as standard. The front headlamp clusters incorporate signature daytime-running lights. Unique to the 75 models are model-specific 20-inch wheels finished in gloss black.
The interior features the firm’s 12.3-inch configurable digital driver’s display and touchscreen infotainment. Performance seats are standard. The pews are upholstered in Windsor leather.
