Aston Martin has whipped the wraps (and the roof!) off the V12 Vantage coupé. Limited to only 249 examples, meet the V12 Vantage roadster!

V12 Vantage roadster

The first Vantage roadster to feature a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12, the drop-top model is endowed with 515 kW and 753 Nm of torque, available from 6 500 r/min and 5 500 r/min, respectively. According to the British marque, the quad-cam 60-degree V12 is a true force of nature. The firm claims a 0-60 mph (96.6 km/h) time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 322 km/h.

Stopping power comes from a set of carbon-ceramic brakes. The 410 mm front discs feature six-piston callipers. The 360 mm rear items are paired with four-piston callipers.

The V12 Vantage roadster’s front bumper, bonnet, front wheel arches, and side sills are crafted from carbon fibre to save weight. The rear bumper and deck lid are made from weight-saving composite material. Weight is further reduced with the adoption of a lightweight battery and a “special” centre-mounted twin-exit exhaust system fashioned from 1 mm stainless steel.

The V12-powered roadster rides on 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin 4S rubber. The front and rear tyres are 275/35 and 315/30 in size, respectively.
