In celebration of the British marque’s 110th anniversary, Aston Martin has whipped the wraps off the Valour, an “ultra-exclusive” V12 special edition sporting a manual transmission. Only 110 examples will be made…
“Aimed squarely at those who relish a truly involving driving experience, [the] Valour’s commitment to era-defining performance and stimulation is second to none,” said the Gaydon-based luxury brand. “The only front-engined V12 sports car available with a manual transmission, its purist approach is unique in 2023 and a thrilling tribute to a golden era of driving.”
The Valour employs the company’s 5.2-litre V12, coupled with a bespoke six-speed manual gearbox. According to the firm, this “guarantees a truly absorbing experience and secures Valour’s place in the pantheon of all-time great driver’s cars”. The twin-turbocharged petrol motor produces 526 kW and 753 Nm of torque.
Stopping power is provided by carbon-ceramic brakes, housed in 21-inch ‘Honeycomb’ lightweight alloy wheels, wrapped in AML-specific, 275/35 fore and 325/30 aft Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres. Coming back to the braking set-up, the front arrangement comprises 410 mm discs, gripped by six-piston callipers, while the rear features 360 mm discs and four-piston callipers.
“[The] Valour is a celebration of Aston Martin’s passion for driving and extraordinary heritage, but it is also emblematic of today’s vibrant and revitalised brand. A modern icon that fuses classic character with contemporary execution, [the] Valour captures the essence of excitement and exclusivity that defines this storied automotive marque. A showcase for our world-class design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities, [the[ Valour is further proof of Aston Martin’s position as the driver’s champion and maker of the world’s most exciting, exclusive and desirable ultra-luxury high-performance cars,” said Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin.
