BMW South Africa has announced pricing and spec for the i4 eDrive Gran Coupé, with the local arm of the German brand listing the newcomer to its i4 line-up on its website.
SPECIFICATIONS
As standard, the i4 eDrive35 Gran Coupé ships with the Bavarian brand’s M Sport package. This package includes 18-inch M aerodynamic wheels and M aerodynamic kit for the exterior. The interior is upholstered in Vernasca black leather, replete with decorative stitching, and features Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite trim. The steering wheel is also wrapped in leather, while the roof lining is trimmed with Antracite. Eight no-cost exterior paint options are available. Tyre pressure monitoring is also included. BMW’s Curved Display instrument binnacle/touchscreen infotainment arrangement is also present, as are cruise control and ambient lighting, among several other items.
OPTIONS
The list of optional specifications includes the automaker’s (R24 500) M Sport package Pro package — which features BMW Individual Lights Shadow Line and high-gloss Shadow Line, M rear spoiler, M seat belts and red-finished M Sport brakes — and the (R37 700) Deluxe Package 2.0 featuring Comfort access, a glass sunroof, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system and electric seat adjustment. The M Carbon exterior package is also available. This R83 600 package features several carbon-fibre trim elements.
POWERTRAIN & PERFORMANCE
The (rear-wheel-driven) i4 eDrive35 Gran Coupé’s electric motor produces 210 kW and 400 Nm of torque, allowing for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 6.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 190 km/h. BMW claims an electric range of 406 to 483 km when the battery is fully charged.
PRICE
The i4 eDrive35 Gran Coupé M Sport is priced at R1 293 300. Pricing includes a two-year/unlimited km vehicle warranty, eight-year/100 000 km battery warranty and five-year/100 000 km service plan.
