Remember the Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition the Blue Oval brand unveiled in February. Well, the firm has now revealed a new special-edition model. Paying homage to the company’s 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 Le Mans race, the Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition is an “ultra-limited” supercar.
Marking the final Heritage Edition of 2022, this model honours the Holman Moody racing team’s know-how and ability to out-innovate global competitors. “Of all the Ford GT Heritage Edition liveries we’ve done, the Holman Moody Heritage Edition’s can’t-miss signature gold and red theme is an epic tribute to our 1966 Le Mans finish,” said Mike Severson, Ford GT program manager.
On the outside, the limited-edition GT sports a striking gold and red livery, including Oxford White roundels with “No. 5” stamped on the doors, bonnet and rear wing. A myriad of gloss carbon-fibre finishes can be found around the supercar. The 20-inch wheels, front splitter, side sills and mirrors, engine louvres and rear diffuser are all fashioned from this lightweight material. The black Brembo brake callipers feature silver graphics.
The carbon-fibre fitment is carried over to the interior. The carbon-fibre pews are trimmed in Ebony Alcantara, contrasted with gold stitching. Gold appliqués can be found on the instrument panel, among others.
