Mini has whipped the wraps off the Clubman Final Edition, the, ahem, final model of the modern Clubman. Only 1 969— indicating the year the original Clubman was introduced — will be made…
Billed as the most exclusive of its kind, the Clubman Final Edition comes in Cooper S flavour. As a reminder, the Cooper S Clubman’s 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot produces 141 kW and 280 Nm of torque, available from 5 000 r/min and a lowly 1 350 r/min, respectively. The petrol engine drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The British marque claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 228 km/h.
So, how does this special-edition model differ from its standard stablemate? For starters, the Clubman Final Edition features Shimmer Copper exterior details. The surrounds and upper third of the radiator grille crossbar are finished in this model-specific hue, as are the Blade and side scuttles. The graphic pattern on the 18-inch light-alloy wheels (in Final Edition Spoke two-tone design) is exclusive to this limited-edition Clubman. The wheels are finished in a clear, tinted lacquer reminiscent of copper. A numbered plaque can be found on the C-pillar.
Exclusive interior items include ‘Final Edition’ lettering on the door sill trims and the lower side of the Nappa leather sports steering wheel. The sewn-in edition badges on the leather sports seats are finished in Dark Maroon. Shimmering matte Sage Green Dark and edition-specific Shimmer Copper frame the dark dashboard trim. Standard features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
