The Kia Sonet has made its South African debut. The newcomer to Kia South Africa’s crossover line-up, Gary Scott, CEO of Kia South Africa says, “puts an exclamation point on our ambition to make Kia the brand of choice for trendy urbanites”.

The Sonet line-up consists of four variants, each powered by a new 1,5-litre MPI engine. The 1,5-litre engine boasts 85 kW and 144 N.m of torque, which is available from 6 300 r/min and 4 500 r/min respectively. Two transmission options are on offer – a six-speed manual and CVT – which are available with either one of the two trim levels.
