Lamborghini has whipped the wraps off the Huracán Tecnica, saying the brand-new Raging Bull was engineered for the best of both worlds. “The Tecnica’s moniker embodies the advanced evolution of the Huracán’s technical prowess,” said the Italian automaker.

Billed as the next-generation, rear-wheel-drive V10, the Tecnica’s Huracán STO-sourced mid-mounted 5.2-litre motor produces 640 CV (471 kW) and 565 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.2 seconds. The Tecnica tips the scales at a claimed 1 379 kg.

“The Tecnica condenses Lamborghini’s expertise to create the perfect fun-to-drive Huracán”

Lamborghini states, “The lightweight Tecnica’s recalibrated LDVI system and distinctly tuned driving modes with specific suspension set-up, rear-wheel direct steering, and innovative brake cooling improvements allow the driver to experience the perfect Huracán for every occasion.” This allows the Huracán Tecnica to be as at home on the road as a race track.

“The Huracán Tecnica condenses Lamborghini’s design and engineering expertise to create the perfect fun-to-drive Huracán, as compelling when driving to the race circuit as on the street itself,” said Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “In an era of virtual experiences, it pays homage to technical purity and physical sensation.”

The Tecnica completes the Huracán line-up. It slots in between the RWD variant and the track-focused STO. Lamborghini says it presents technology, performance and the Huracán’s naturally aspirated V10 in a dramatically evolved design.
