Said Tadao Mori, chief designer at Lexus, “Few convertibles are stylish and elegant when the roof is open and when it is closed. We put maximum effort into realising the same beautiful roofline for the LC Convertible as for the coupé.”

Canvas roof stows away in “approximately” 15 seconds.

To achieve this, Lexus says the design team focused especially on the convertible roof design. The cover is set as low as possible, while the beltline kicks up behind the door to create a clean profile. The folding roof boasts an additional fold to fit in to the space between the rear suspension towers, creating a character line running from the front to the back.

Lexus maintains the LC 500 Convertible is sold with “no options”; every item is standard.

Inside, the LC 500 Convertible’s cabin is generously equipped as standard. Included in the list of standard specification are, among others, an 8,0-inch digital driver’s display, which is reminiscent of the item found inside the LFA supercar; a 10,3-inch infotainment screen, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 13-speaker, 918 W Mark Levinson surround sound system. Dual-zone climate control and heated and ventilated front seats, complete with neck heaters, enhance in-cabin ambience.
