Maserati has announced it has delayed the global premier of the Grecale, the second model in the Italian luxury car manufacturer’s SUV portfolio.

Originally scheduled to be introduced on 16 November 2021, the Grecale’s reveal date has been postponed to 2022 as a result of interruptions in the supply chains for the key components necessary to complete the production process. Said the Modena-based firm, “due to the shortage of semiconductors, the quantity of production would not allow us to respond properly to the expected global demand.”

However, “Maserati is still hard at work in spite of the component supply problems hitting the entire transportation industry, and is determined to guarantee the continuity of its business,” the luxury automaker says. According to Maserati, the Grecale features “ground-braking” contents, especially relating to connectivity and human-machine interface areas.
