Following the global premiere of the Grecale, Maserati didn’t hesitate to whip the wraps off a specially commissioned version of its second SUV. The Grecale Mission from Mars is a bespoke model created by the Italian luxury car manufacturer’s Fuoriserie Programme.
Taking inspiration from the Red Planet, the Grecale Mission from Mars is finished in textured metallic paintwork, reminiscent of Mars’ surface. The exterior is painted Galactic Orange, which comprises a liquid base on top of orange-red resin. Completing the unique exterior design cues, the special model is fitted with a set of Vortex wheels.
The badges found around the SUV are unique to the Grecale Mission from Mars. The trident on the C-pillar merges into the bodywork, giving it a two-dimensional aspect. The design of the logo has also been revisited with a glitch effect. According to Maserati, this effect symbolises the rhythm of the waves and information coming from outer space.
The highlight of the cabin is the special “star chart”, which is incorporated into the ceiling. The seats’ design is was inspired by the electric currents on Mars and the spacesuits worn by astronauts.
