Mercedes-Benz has announced the Vito has been handed additional safety equipment to mark 25 years of the German marque’s van. “Enhancing what is already an impressive list of safety measures”, the Vito is now available with a blind-spot assist set-up.

However, according to Benz, the latest addition to the Vito’s list of standard safety items is just “one of the safety enhancements the Vito offers”. In addition to this functionality, the facelifted Vito is fitted with airbags and seat belt reminders for both the driver and front passenger. Crosswind assist is also included, as is active brake assist.
