Priced from R2 507 600, the local line-up comprises five derivatives, available with two engine options — a new twin-turbocharged V6 petrol, producing 305 kW and 650 Nm, and an oil-burner endowed with 225 kW and 700 Nm of torque. Each powertrain is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Lexus claims a fuel consumption figure of 11.3 L/100 km for the petrol derivative and 8.3 L/100 km for the diesel.

As standard, all models ship with dual centre displays, Lexus’ ‘BladeScan’ adaptive high-beam set-up and a 25-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system. In addition to these items, all variants feature the firm’s fingerprint identification functionality (for engine start), park distance control with ‘Intelligent Clearance Sonar’ and rear cross-traffic alert and braking, among others.

A first for the Lexus LX, the company now offers its flagship SUV with its F Sport grade (seen here). Available on both diesel and petrol derivatives, this trim level includes a jet-black front grille, satin-plated moulding on the front and rear of the SUV and 22-inch alloy wheels. Inside, F Sport models feature F Sport pews, heating functionality for the front and rear seats and steering wheel, a cool box in the centre console, and soft-close doors.

Sited at the top of the range, the VIP grade features an “exclusive” four-seat seating arrangement. This model comes with an 11.6-inch multi-information panel to control rear comfort features and extended massage options.
