The Hyundai Venue Cargo has launched in South Africa, with the local arm of the South Korean carmaker announcing pricing and spec for its latest light-commercial vehicle (LCV). See pricing below…
SPECIFICATION
The LCV model is based on the entry-level Venue, the 1.2 Motion. As such, it sports the revised front grille and new taillamps, among other items. The Venue Cargo sits on 15-inch steel wheels with styled plastic covers.
Convenience items include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The firm’s Supervision 4.2-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster is also present. The air-conditioning system is of the manual variety. Safety items include two airbags, ABS and EBD.
However, as this is the Cargo variant, space is essential. Hyundai claims the load compartment behind the front pews offers a capacity of 1 296 litres. The cargo compartment measures 1 200 mm in length, 1 200 mm in width and 900 mm in height.
POWERTRAIN
The Venue Cargo employs Hyundai’s 1.2-litre MPi engine. The petrol unit produces 61 kW and 115 Nm of torque, sent to the front axle via a five-speed manual transmission. The automaker claims an average fuel consumption figure of 6.5 L/100 km.
PRICING
The Venue Cargo is priced at R329 900. The pricing includes Hyundai’s three-year/45 000 km service plan, a seven-year/200 000 km warranty, and seven-year/150 000 km roadside assistance.
