The JAC T6 2.0L VVT 4×2 Lux has touched down in South Africa, with the local arm of the Chinese manufacturer revealing pricing for its double-cab bakkie. See pricing below…

Joining its diesel-powered sibling in the local line-up, the 2.0L VVT 4×2 Lux is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 108 kW and 190 Nm of torque, available from 6 000 r/min and 3 000 r/min, respectively. Coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox, JAC says the petrol powertrain sips 10 L/100 km on average, allowing for “approximately” 800 km of range from the 76-litre fuel tank.

Billed as a versatile workhorse, the petrol-powered T6 is underpinned by a ladder-frame chassis. The payload is rated at 900 kg, while the braked towing capacity comes in at 2 000 kg.

As standard, the T6 2.0L VVT 4×2 Lux is equipped with front fog lamps, electrically adjustable side mirrors with integrated indicator lights, running boards and a style bar. Further included in the standard-spec list is a reverse-view camera system supplemented by rear park distance sensors. Safety items include ABS and EBD.

The 2.0L VVT 4×2 Lux is priced at R324 900. The 1.9L TDI 4×2 Comfort model is priced at R359 900. Pricing includes a five-year/150 000 km warranty and a five-year/60 000 km service plan.
