The Maserati Levante GT Hybrid has touched down on South African shores, with the local arm of the Italian automaker revealing pricing for the petrol-electric SUV.

Priced from R1 961 000, the hybrid-powered Levante’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, complete with ‘eBooster’, incorporates 48 V tech. The mild-hybrid unit, coupled with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, produces 243 kW and 450 Nm of torque, available from 5 750 r/min and 2 250 r/min, respectively. The Modena-based car manufacturer claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h.

As standard, the Levante Hybrid ships with 19-inch Zefiro wheels. Seven other wheel options — measuring from 20 to 21 inches — are on offer. Six exterior colour options are available. These include Bianco (white), Grigio Evoluzione, Nero Ribelle, Grigio Maratea, Grigio, and Blu Emozione. An array of interior colour options are also available.

The Levante Hybrid is also available with a quartet of packages. The driver assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, advanced brake assist, and a surround-view camera system.

The Nerissimo package features a black finish for the quad exhaust tips, front grille, side mirrors and roof rails, among others. The 20-inch Nereo Black wheels are also included with this optional package. These alloys are also featured on the Sport package, as is a sport rear spoiler, adaptive LED matrix headlamps, 12-way adjustable seats, and red brake callipers, among others. The Premium package contains a panoramic sunroof and an electrically adjustable steering column, among others.

Further included in the options list is a Harman Kardon premium sound system, Alcantara headlining, and wood inserts on the steering wheel. Customers are also offered the choice of an upgraded interior.
