The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV has launched in South Africa. Here’s how much you can expect to pay…
Available in only 450 4Matic configuration (though customers have the option of five- and seven-seater variants), the EQS SUV twin electric motor arrangement produces 265 kW and 800 Nm of torque. These figures, Mercedes-Benz says, allow the emissions-free luxury SUV to sprint to the three-figure marker from a standstill in 6.0 seconds, and on to a top speed of 210 km/h. The claimed electric range comes in at 507 to 613 km.
As a reminder, the tall-riding EQS shares the long, 3 210 mm wheelbase of the similarly named saloon, which we sampled in 2022. The EQS SUV measures 5 125 mm bow to stern, 1 959 mm in width, and 1 718 mm in height (“over” 20 mm higher than the saloon model).
