First shown at 2023’s State of the Motoring Industry (SOMI) address earlier this year, the Vitz, based on the Suzuki Celerio, is another collaborative product — the fourth — of the Japanese automakers. As a quick reminder, the other three are, of course, the Starlet, Urban Cruiser and Rumion, which are based on the Baleno, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga, respectively.
TRIM GRADES & FEATURES
Two trim grades are available, standard and XR. Starting with the former, entry-level spec includes black door handles and manually adjustable side mirrors finished in the same hue. The cabin features a two-speaker audio system. This Vitz sits on 14-inch steel wheels wrapped in 165/70 rubber are also present. All models ship with halogen headlamps and manual air conditioning.
XR trim upgrades to colour-coded, power-adjustable side mirrors and colour-coded door handles. On top of the standard variant’s analogue instruments, the XR gains a tachometer. The XR also features a touchscreen infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A four-speaker audio system is present, as are electrically-operated windows.
Seven colour options are available. The colour palette includes Mystic Pearl White, Urban Silver, Dusk Grey, Torch Red, Jet Blue, Coffee Brown, and Shadow Black Pearl.
