Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) has launched the Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate edition as the first derivative of its flagship performance SUV sporting new solid glass flake paintwork options.

Said Hannah Custance, design manager of SV colour and materials, “This is the first SV Bespoke edition we’ve offered with beautifully textured and reflective glass flake paint finishes, which puts the Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate edition at the forefront of our innovative approach to personalisation.”

The latest bespoke Range Rover Sport SVR offering from the British brand, the Ultimate edition is available with the option of three of these special hues. The hand-painted finished include Maya Blue Gloss, Marl Grey Gloss or “stealthy” Ligurian Black.

Further exterior enhancements include, among others, a Narvik Black contrast roof, gloss black 22-inch forged alloy wheels and a set of black brake callipers. The vented, carbon-fibre bonnet is finished in the same hue as the bodywork. Black “Range Rover” lettering, replete with Fuji White edging, on the bonnet and tailgate completes the exclusive package.

Inside, the Range Rover Sport Ultimate edition features anodised metal steering wheel-mounted gearshift paddles, finished in black. “Ultimate edition” is illuminated on the tread plates, reminding owners this is not a run-of-the-mill Range Rover Sport SVR.

Three special paint options are on offer.

As a reminder, the Range Rover Sport SVR is powered by Jaguar Land Rover’s 5,0-litre V8 petrol engine. The supercharged motor produces 423 kW and 700 N.m of torque for a claimed zero to 100 km/h acceleration time of “just” 4,5 seconds and a maximum speed of 283 km/h.

Land Rover South Africa has confirmed the Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate edition is scheduled to reach South African shores in early 2022, with pricing becoming available closer to the launch date.
