Hyundai has whipped the wraps off the refreshed i10, with the South Korean automaker handing the compact hatchback cosmetic enhancements and new tech.
So, what upgrades have been made to the i10? Starting with the exterior, the facelifted i10, Hyundai says, “Boasts a sportier stance”. The company adds that the low roofline and long wheelbase give the small car a “bolder” feeling. The inner part of the multi-face reflector headlamps has been redesigned, as have the fore and aft LED lighting signatures. The “sporty” front grille features a new honeycomb mesh design. New-look LED daytime-running lights are also present in the grille. The updated i10 sits on a set of new 15-inch alloy wheels.
“Inspired by Hyundai’s high-performance N models”, the i10 is also available with the firm’s “sporty” N Line package. This model features model-specific bumpers and red elements outside and in. The N Line rides on 16-inch alloys.
Nine exterior colour options are available. Two of these are new — Lumen Grey and Meta Blue. The roof can be finished in contrast black.
The cabin features a 4.2-inch LCD cluster and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporating wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless smartphone charging is included. Hyundai’s Smart Sense suite of safety systems is also present, as is a rear-view camera. Blue mood lamps can be found in the front seats.
The carmaker claims a boot capacity of 252 litres, which can be increased to 1 050 litres when folding down the rear bench. A two-stage luggage board is included.
