Ford South Africa has announced local pricing for the newly introduced Ranger single-cab derivatives. See pricing below…

Priced from R464 200, the Ranger single cab can be had with two transmission options — a six-speed manual and automatic with the same number of cogs — and a duo of drivetrains, 4×2 and 4×4. One engine — the Blue Oval brand’s 2.0-litre single-turbo four-pot — is employed across the single-cab range. As a reminder, the single-turbo diesel engine produces 125 kW and 405 Nm of torque.

The Ranger single cab is available in one trim level — XL. As standard, XL spec includes electronically-adjustable side mirrors, cloth-upholstered seats, all-weather floor mats at the front and a 12 V socket in the centre console. The single cab rides on 16-inch alloy wheels (finished in Sparkle Silver) with locking wheel nuts.

Five XL upgrade packs are available, each providing an “extensive” range of cosmetic and functional enhancements. These include chrome trim, dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera system with park distance sensors, cruise control and 17-inch wheels. The latter can be had with all-terrain or all-season tyres. A “specially developed” off-road pack is also available. This package features steel underbody protection for the front, engine and transfer case and a plastic fuel tank guard. The 17-inch wheels included in this pack are fitted with all-terrain rubber.
