As standard, the Civic Type R sits on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. A Civic Type R staple, three exhaust outlets can be found at the rear, as can a large rear wing for enhanced aerodynamics. The fore and aft lamps are of the LED variety, with the former incorporating LED daytime-running lights.

The interior features Type R-specific red bucket seats and the multifunction steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara. The 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporates (wireless) screen mirroring relaying tunes via a 12-speaker Bose sound system. A 9.0-inch digital instrument cluster is also present, as is wireless smartphone charging.

The Civic Type R is priced at R979 000. Pricing includes a five-year/90 000 km service plan and a five-year/200 000 km warranty.
