The BMW X5 and X6 Black Vermilion editions have been revealed, with the German manufacturer handing latest versions to its X5 SAV (sports activity vehicle) and X6 SAC (sports activity coupé) model ranges model-specific exterior and interior design updates.
The central focus of the Black Vermilion edition, BMW says, is the interplay between the colour black and red. Contrasting the X5 and X6 Black Vermilion editions’ BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic bodywork, the vertical bars of their kidney grilles are finished in red. Accentuating the special-edition X6’s pronounced grille even more, the Black Vermilion edition is fitted with the Munich manufacturer’s Iconic Glow feature. Sited alongside the model-specific grille designs, the X5 and X6 are equipped with M Shadow Line headlamps, which feature BMW laser light technology and blue accent lighting for the “X” signature.
Emphasising these models’ dynamic character, the X5 and X6 Black Vermilion editions are equipped with BMW’s M Sport package, comprising, among others, model-specific front and rear aprons, and the company’s M high-gloss Shadow Line package. Other exterior fitment include matte Orbit Grey 22-inch M light alloy wheels and gloss red M Sport brake callipers.
Inside, the roof is lined with M Alcantara in anthracite hue. The interior features BMW Individual Fineline black wood trim, which feature aluminium inlays for additional sophistication. Adding to the premium cabin finishes, BMW has applied its Crafted Clarity glass to the gearlever, iDrive controller and start/stop button. The seats are upholstered in BMW Individual Merino Black hide, complete with model-specific red contrast stitching for the front seats. The latter hue has also been applied to the front and rear floor mats. An “Edition” logo on the cupholder cover, finished in BMW Individual black piano finish, emphasises these models’ exclusivity.
