TOYOTA GR COROLLA ENGINE
The GR Corolla employs the Japanese automaker’s 1.6-litre turbocharged triple, exclusively coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, which sends 221 kW and 370 Nm of torque to Toyota’s GR-Four all-wheel-drive system. The GR Corolla tops out at 230 km/h. The average fuel consumption is a claimed 8.4 L/100 km.

The local GR Corolla line-up comprises two models, the Core and, spearheading the range, the Circuit. As standard, both the Core and Circuit ships with a 12.3-inch multi-information instrument display, an Apple CarPlay/Android Auto-enabled 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, relaying tunes over a six-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone charging, a reverse-view camera system, dual-zone climate control, and adaptive cruise control. The alloy wheels are 18 inchers.
Whereas the Core features fabric trim, the Circuit upgrades to synthetic leather and suede upholstery. The latter also gains a head-up display.
