Toyota has whipped the wraps off the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition, the Japanese automaker’s first special-edition petrol-electric SUV, which, the company says, is equipped with everything needed for outdoor adventures.

Available in Midnight Black Metallic, Cavalry Blue and Ice Cap body hues, the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition distinguishes itself with “rugged” exterior and “premium” interior styling. The Woodland Edition is equipped with a TRD-tuned suspension set-up. Toyota says the addition of the upgraded system “enhances” body control and smooths out rough city roads and off-road trails.

The special edition further features Bronze wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tyres, dual exhausts with black chrome tips, and black badging. Black mudguards are included, as are black roof rails. The interior features custom all-weather floor and cargo mats.

The RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition’s petrol-electric powertrain comprises a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a duo of electric motors, sited on the fore and aft axles. Power and torque are sent to all four corners via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
