David Brown Automotive has finally whipped the wraps off the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition. Celebrating Marshall Amplification’s 60th anniversary, the reimagined classic Mini has been packed with several items from the renowned producer of audio equipment.

Limited to only 60 examples, the special-edition model takes inspiration from Marshall’s iconic amplifiers. “Our designers have created a symphony of style, swagger and pure, unadulterated driving experience,” said David Brown Automotive.

“The sound system provides a ‘serious, decidedly modern, sonic punch'”

Reminiscent of Marshall’s amplifiers, the mesh grille is finished in gold. The reimagined classic is hand-painted in “exclusive” Marshall Black metallic paintwork. The car is fitted with 12-inch Classic alloy wheels, replete with gold accents and Marshall’s “M” at the wheel centres. Several other exterior items have been finished in gold.

The gold finishes are carried over to the interior, where this hue has been applied to the contrast stitching and switchgear, among other items. The gold-anodised pedals feature engraved skip-track, pause and play motifs.

Developed in collaboration with the engineering team at Marshall Amplification, this Mini Remastered features an array of new audio equipment. These include an upgraded speaker system that provides a “serious, decidedly modern, sonic punch”. The sound system comprises eight speakers. A Marshall DSL1 amplifier and ‘Emberton’ portable Bluetooth speaker can be found in the leather-lined boot compartment.

A 1.3-litre engine powers the Mini Remastered. The petrol motor produces 61 kW and 133 Nm of torque. The company claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 8.9 seconds and a top speed of more than 145 km/h.
