The updated Kia Seltos has made its official debut, with the thoroughly refreshed model boasting more striking design language, a revised cabin and upgraded tech.
The most notable exterior updates come in the shape of redesigned headlamps, complete with new LED daytime-running lights (DRLs), flanking a larger version of the company’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ front grille. Vertical foglamps are integrated into the sides of the lower front bumper. ‘Round the back, the redesigned left- and right-hand taillamps are connected by a light bar spanning the tailgate. Redesigned, two-tone alloy wheels are also present.
The interior sports significant upgrades. These include a dual-display cluster. Measuring 10.25 inches each, the first one displays the digital instruments. The other, touch-enabled screen is for operating the infotainment. Ambient lighting is present, too. A rotary switch is used to select gears.
As a reminder, on local shores, the seven-strong Kia Seltos line-up offers the choice of three powertrains. These include a 90 kW/151 Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol option, an 86 kW/250 Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel unit, and a 1.4-litre turbo-four petrol engine producing 103 kW and 242 Nm of torque.
Equipped with the automaker’s Gamma 1.6 MPI engine, the Seltos can be had with a manual or automatic transmission. The same goes for the model fitted with the turbocharged diesel engine. The Kappa 1.4 T-GDi is exclusively available with a dual-clutch ‘box.
Specification levels for the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel models include EX and EX Plus trims. The range-topping, 1.4-litre turbo-four variant features top-spec GT-Line spec.
