Remember X-Tomi Design‘s renders of a Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTI and single-cab bakkie? Well, the digital artist has now revealed a new render of the electrified Kombi, with X-Tomi Design handing it the base-spec treatment.

Seen here, the ID. Buzz has ditched the standard for and aft bumpers for black plastic items, while myriad other exterior items, such as the (now plastic) door handles, and details are finished in the same hue. As this is a base-spec model, steel wheels have been fitted all around.

As a reminder, the recently unveiled production version of VW’s electrified bus will be available in a duo of guises, the leisure-focused ID. Buzz and the ID. Buzz Cargo. As its name would suggest, the latter model is designed for more commercial purposes.

The (production) ID.Buzz and ID.Buzz Cargo will be available with a 77 kWh battery, which is coupled to a 150 kW electric motor that sends power to the rear axle. The lithium-ion battery offers 11 kW AC recharge capability and “as much as” 170 kW DC fast-charging capability.
