Chopard has unveiled the Mille Miglia 2022 Race Edition, a brand-new vintage in its Mille Miglia GTS collection that pays tribute to the legendary open-road race it is named for.

“The new variant pays tribute to a love of fine mechanics”

The Swiss luxury company offers two iterations of the box-fresh model, an all-steel variant, and a derivative adorning 18-carat rose gold finishes. The former is limited to 1 000 pieces, while only 250 examples of the latter will be on offer.

Housed within the Mille Miglia 2022 Race Editions’ 44 mm cases, the dial is dressed in silver grey and features circular, satin-brushed finishes. “Intense” blue has been applied to the hands, hour markers and the bezel inlay. The Mille Miglia emblem can be found next to the date window at 3 o’clock and on the case back.

The watches are driven by the Geneva-based brand’s COSC-certified automatic movement. The “ultra-reliable” and “well-proven” mechanical item offers a power reserve of 48 hours.

“This new interpretation reflects the codes of masculine elegance, featuring refinement applied to all areas and paying tribute to a love of fine mechanics,” said Chopard.
