Remember the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Chronograph Porsche Design unveiled with the global premiere of the mid-engined sports car it’s named for? Well, coinciding with the launch of the new (992-generation) 911 GT3 RS, the German marque has now released a brand-new exclusive vehicle watch. Meet the Porsche 911 GT3 RS Chronograph!

Billed as the GT3 RS among chronographs, the new timepiece features many sporty design features and technical details. “The set-up of the chronograph is perfectly matched to its motorised role models,” said the firm. Exclusively available to owners of the box-fresh Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche says the chronograph “truly is a sports car on your wrist”.

The watch features a new pulsometer scale on the bezel. The pulsometer is fashioned from glass bead blasted natural titanium or black titanium with titanium carbide coating. Showing you how strongly your heart beats for motorsport during the pit stop, this item indicates the number of heartbeats per minute. On request, the bezel is also available with a tachymeter or a minute display.

Displayed through sapphire crystal glass, the dial features a carbon-weave finish. The hour and minute markers are finished in white. Super-LumiNova material is present on the hour markers. The hands can be had in white, black or yellow. However, customers are offered a choice of 123 different hues for the customisable colour ring around the dial. A seconds dial sits at 9 o’clock. “Born in flacht” is imprinted in the centre of this dial.

The 911 GT3 RS Chronograph further features push buttons with “Start/Stop” and “Next lap” laser engravings. Porsche says this clarifies that the chronograph is about more than displaying only the time.

The transparent sapphire glass case back reveals the Porsche Design WERK 0.1200 calibre. The movement features a redesigned rotor reminiscent of the firm’s track weapon’s wheels.
