Paying homage to one of the world’s greatest historic racing events, Richard Mille has unboxed the RM 029 Automatic Winding Le Mans Classic. Limited to only 150 pieces, the racing-inspired watch is dressed in this sporting event’s “timeless” green and white colour combination.

The limited-edition RM 029 is endowed with the luxury watchmaker’s RMAS7 calibre. The skeletonised automatic movement offers a power reserve of “circa” 55 hours.

The baseplate and bridges of the timepiece are fashioned from grade 5 titanium, complete with Titalyt treatment to ensure “great” rigidity on the whole assembly. Richard Mille says the skeletonised baseplate and bridges were subjected to separate and extensive validation tests to ensure they meet rigorous strength requirements.

The watch features a 24-hour display, sited at the 2 o’clock marker, and a large date display, sited at the horizontal aperture at 4 o’clock. Reminding its wearer that this is a special watch paying tribute to a special racing event, a ‘Le Mans Classic’ badge is located on the dial.
