Featuring a visible tourbillon, the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon joins TAG Heuer’s Carrera portfolio as another exquisitely designed (and technical) timepiece. Indeed, the watch, with its curved sapphire crystal and subtly curved flange and indexes, has been redesigned to reflect the tourbillon’s beauty. The mechanical movement is accurate, thanks to the “glassbox effect” counteracting gravitational effects. The TH20-09 unit offers a power reserve of 65 hours.
The 42 mm case is fashioned from (polished) steel. The movement is displayed through a sapphire case back. The steel bezel is fixed. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
The “signature” blue brushed dial features two tone-on-tone “azuré” sub-dials. The tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock. The vivid orange seconds hand adds a “bold” and “dynamic” touch. The case is coupled with a blue calfskin leather strap.
The Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon is priced at R437 600. For more information, visit TAG Heuer’s website here.
