Remember the TAG Heuer Monaco X Gulf the Swiss luxury watchmaker released in 2022? Well, the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based brand has now unboxed another model sporting the iconic Gulf colours. Meet the Formula 1 X Gulf.

Billed as a bold and energetic timepiece, the latest iteration in TAG Heuer’s Formula 1’s dial is adorned with Gulf’s emblematic, “sporty” blue and orange livery. The former and latter shades have also been applied to the six o’clock-sited subdial. Orange accents can also be found on the nine o’clock-sited subdial, the minute hand and TAG Heuer emblem at 12 o’clock on the fixed, steel-aluminium bezel. “Gulf” lettering, finished in white, can be found next to the latter item. A darker shade of blue has been applied to the remaining sections of the sunray-brushed dial.

The dial is wrapped in a 43 mm fine-brushed and polished stainless steel case, which offers water resistance at depths of up to 200 metres. The screw-down case back is also fashioned from steel, and features the two brands’ emblems. The case is coupled with a fine-brushed steel bracelet, replete with a steel folding clasp with double safety system. Offering a driver’s extension, the three-row bracelet can be worn over a racing suit.

The special-edition timepiece is driven by a quartz chronograph movement. This unit offers functions such as hours, minutes, seconds and chronograph functionality.

The TAG Heuer Formual 1 X Gulf is priced at R42 800. Fore more information, visit TAG Heuer’s website here.
