Inspired by the original Monoco blue dial, TAG Heuer has released a brand-new variant sporting an intricately designed skeleton dial featuring a bold blue hue. In addition, this Monaco’s “sporty elegance” is enhanced thanks to the application of a “unique” combination of red and white accents to the dial.

The iconic square-shaped case is fashioned from titanium, as is the fixed bezel. The crown is crafted from grade 2 titanium. The movement — the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s Calibre Heuer 02 — is displayed through a sapphire crystal case back. Beating at 28 000 vph (4Hz), the self-winding chronograph unit offers a generous power reserve of 80 hours. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The watch is presented on a blue rubber and leather strap, replete with double-security folding clasp. The Monaco Chronohraph Original Blue is priced at R195 500. For more information, visit the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based brand’s website here.
