A contemporary tribute to the indelible link between TAG Heuer and competitive motorsport, the limited-edition Monza Flyback Chronometer embodies the essence of the Swiss luxury watchmaker with an “extreme” sports look.

A “striking” carbon rendition, the Monza Flyback Chronometer’s 42 mm forged carbon case — coupled with a black fabric strap — incorporates a grade 5 titanium case back. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

Beneath the domed sapphire crystal is a skeletonised, “cushion-shaped” black dial replete with red and blue accents, adding to its sporty look. Translucent blue sapphire crystal counters can be found at the 3 and 6 o’clock markers.

Time is kept by the firm’s “high-precision”, COSC-certified Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback, which allows the racing-inspired timepiece to push the limits of modern time telling. The most significant advantage of this type of movement is its ability to reset the chronograph without stopping it, thus allowing faster and more accurate timekeeping. The power reserve is rated at 80 hours.

The watch is priced at $13 850, which, at the current Rand-Dollar exchange rate, amounts to R248 690.60. For more information about this and other luxury watches, visit APEX’s sister website Haute Montres at hautemontres.co.za.
